Hi all, Update coming from me rather than Nick at the moment, as both he and Marius are taking some holiday post-AMM. Here's what we've been up to over the past week:
Marius: - on holiday
Daniel: - looking at any outstanding policy-manager work to do for agl-compositor
Walter Lozano: - quick investigation into the OSS i.MX8/etnaviv stack and making sure it runs well
Cheers, Daniel

Hi All,
Please find below a brief summary of the progress Collabora have
made last week on Weston/Wayland.
Weston / Wayland
Marius:
- SPEC-3382 (Cluster-demo/cluster-receiver), re-organizing the
native XDG-Shell application
and Qt version to better match their contents. The native one will
replace the older version
while the Qt version will have its own repository. Initial
submission was the Qt version (re)based
on the older one and the native one in a different repository.
Somehow related, after some
discussions we've decided to drop, from the default policy, the
hard-requirement for checking
clients that bind to the private extension in absence of a proper
mechanism to add
them dynamically.
- SPEC-3494 - added some missing hooks for activate_by_default and
with that, with some
patches to keep same level of functionality and consistency in
behaviour for other types of
surface roles.
- SPEC-3420 - White lines in the homescreen / top panel. Found a
potential fix, but
would like to looking into missing progress bar and the selected
List item previously shown
in the older version before posting a MR.
- SPEC-3459 - Testing/re-testing alexa-viewer. A few builds in the
past showed some curl/SSL
issues, but I'm not seeing them again upon re-testing.
- SPEC-3455, SPEC-3348: Decided to not look into this anymore and
pursue a dynamic approach. Current
release will need to use 1080p version. The dynamic version will
require SPEC-3327 being done
before that.
Things currently looking into:
SPEC-3420 - White lines in the homescreen - fixing the loading
progress bar and the
selected Item
SPEC-3327 - start doing some application conversion to use that
library and verify that scaling
works correctly with it
Kind regards,
Nick
