Hi All,

Please find below a brief summary of the progress Collabora have made last week on Weston/Wayland.

Weston / Wayland

Marius:

- Re-worked all demo apps to make use of Windows width and height instead of using Screen's width
and height to fix 'SPEC-3379: Demo apps require a bit of re-arrangement after agl-compositor conversion'
Few a of them did require some manual tweaks and I've found a issue with the mixer (SPEC-3403).

- Added some further details about private extensions and some minor details about
wayland/compositors in general, to address 'SPEC-3386 - Improve documentation'

- Futher tested 'remote' surfaces series I have for 'SPEC-3280 Remote-display windows for CES IC demo'.
Found a few (more) corner cases while using real hardware but also some issues unrelated which
will addressed individually (for instance, SPEC-3404).

Things currently looking into:

- To post a MR for 'SPEC-3280 Remote-display windows for CES IC' after I polish them a bit. Reason for holding on is
that I would like to also add app_id per output to allow for even easier way of migrating views to
    other outputs
- Investigate 'SPEC-3403 mixer application trouble starting up' and determine what is causing it
- SPEC-3394 - Add a hook in the policy framework to restrict access to agl_shell_desktop.

Things in queue:

- SPEC-3382 Investigation of cluster demo image w/ tweaked area and role configuration for the windowmanager
- input focus for background/regular applications, added SPEC-3344 for tracking

Kind regards,

Nick
