Hi All,

Please find below a brief summary of the progress Collabora have made last week on Weston/Wayland.

Weston / Wayland

Marius

- SPEC-3580 (Screenshooter functionality in the compositor) - Private extension for taking
a screenshot. Similar to weston-screenshooter. The server side implementation calls into libweston
to take the screenshoot, which on its own uses the render. Client is able to take a screenshot of all ouputs,
a specified output and list all available outputs. If not output/argument is provided the first
(available) output is used as a source. Configurable using a cmd line option as it might be considered
a security violation. Should be enabled by default in agl-demo distro feature.

- SPEC-3591 (Basic seat handling) - Added basic input handling to (re)-send seat capabilities w/o
pointer capabilities. Used a configure file option to hide the cursor. Useful when taking a screenshot
and matching up with a reference one.

- SPEC-3592 (Qtshell homescreen-demo-ci dummy app) - A Qt shell dummy application. As homescreen has
dynamic surface updates (clock for instance). create a simple Qt shell app that uses some basic colors and
which can use that to compare it against a reference file.

Kind regards,

Nick
