Please find below a brief summary of the progress Collabora have made last week on Weston/Wayland.
Weston / Wayland
- SPEC-3544 (no image on my display/monitor. WebAppMgr coredump).
Worked in tandem with Igalia to come up
with a work-around. Patches submitted for both agl-compositor and
chromium68 which are already merged in master.
The compositor made an assumption that the client had an app_id
set-up before doing the initial surface commit
but WAM was setting that up after the initial commit. Internally
the surface was created, but with this
app_id lacking no configure event was sent back to the client. On
the client side, chromium was scheduling
repaints even though the configure event wasn't received resulting
in a XDG-shell protocol violation.
- Added a patch to avoid doing the commit until the configure,
ack_configure stance was completed. With these changes
in, it allows the client to come up correctly.
