Are u sure the broadcom driver installed is the latest one? I have a broadcom 5702 and Red Hat 9 could detect the hardware but could not assign any driver for it.I have downloaded the driver from manufacturer website www.broadcom.com Those older broadcom driver is using tg3.o module, so make sure u are using the correct one.
