It is the /etc/sysconfig/network-scripts/ifup script. That one inserts additional iptables rules if and only if it finds that you have the Lokkit-compatible firewall up and running, that means, when it finds the RH-Lokkit-0-50-INPUT chain being mentioned in the output of "iptables -L". I wanted to see your /etc/sysconfig/iptables only to check what firewall you are running. So, if you read /etc/sysconfig/network-scripts/ifup in the lines I've posted earlier, you can see when and how it executes iptables. I've shown that the two commands give the same error messages if they are run without the RH-Lokkit-0-50-INPUT chain being available (and that should never be the case). But I won't repeat my two previous messages here. Someone would need to look into what I've written there. - -- -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v1.2.2 (GNU/Linux) iD8DBQE/M9Rc0iMVcrivHFQRAvmuAJ4/85Mnn7gziPT6dSQKPsoGce1pNQCeNW/d +lWn/MuQqr5R6wMxu+zUJFQ= =hpum -----END PGP SIGNATURE----- -- Shrike-list mailing list Shrike-list@xxxxxxxxxx https://www.redhat.com/mailman/listinfo/shrike-list
