This is realy a new experiance for me. Peeter I'd have a look at the first few bytes and see if they really were gif or jpeg (whatever they were named). If you don't have a dedicated Hex editor, then Irfanview will give you a free Hex view. Now can PhotoShop, even CS2, show you that?
