Ok. I got to load it but the whole system is still freezing up. As I told, I am using kernel 2.6.27, more specifically, 2.6.27.24-78.2.53.fc9.i686. Based on Alsa-utis and alsa-libs packages' version, I believe Fedora 9 is using alsa-1.0.17 With version 9(agrsm-2.1.80-9mdv2009.0) of this driver, I get frozen right after opening minicom. With version 7, I can even send an "ATZ". An "ATDT<number>" or "ATA" freezes that. Any tip to debug what is happening and what can be causing that? I would like to generate some data to be analyzed right before the whole system frozes up.
