hi isamar, the problem is the package managemant, standard kernel shiped with an alsa version -> we can easy make a patch and dkms can handle it according the kernel version. if somebody is beginning to use a different version there are different questions to handle: 1. shure he/she use the alsa modules as he/she think? (sometimes modules are not correct installed) 2. are the alsa sources in the kernel source (patched kernel install) 3. WHERE are the alsa sources installed if outside of kernel tree. i just can say, use the alsa version shipped with your kernels sources :-) zsolt > Zsolt, > > Thanks for your attention. > > I am thinking to go to a newer kernel version and more specifically > kernel-2.6.27.24-78.2.53.fc9.i686. > Any chances to make it working easily with this kernel and alsa 1.0.19 ? > Or ALSA 1.0.19 should be problem as well ? > > > Isamar ... -- Diese Nachricht wurde auf Viren und andere gefährliche Inhalte untersucht und ist - aktuelle Virenscanner vorausgesetzt - sauber.
