Please find below a brief summary of progress Collabora have made last week on Pipewire and Weston/Wayland.
PipeWire
George:
- Presented and discussed the overall architecture and the
current status of PipeWire at the F2F meeting in Berlin
- Worked a bit on the refactoring of the Endpoint API and
discussed details with Julian at the F2F
- Ported the audiomixer binding to use the new Endpoint API
(untested)
- Polished and merged the pipewire update to AGL master
- Participated at the AGL hackfest on Thursday, helping to
debug some audio issues on the alexa demo
Julian:
- Presented Pipewire and Wireplumber at the Embedded
Recipes 2019 event in Paris
- Discussed the current status of pipewire and wireplumber at
the F2F meeting in Berlin with AGL
- Started refactoring the Endpoint API so that the Mixer works
with latest version of pipewire
Weston / Wayland
Scott:
- Updated Qt homescreen UI to have split panels managed by
Wayland compositor
