Any other existing options you want to know of?


I hadn't pay much attention to this thread until recently and the way some
things were worded made it seem like the behaviors being discussed were
going to be forced.  That coupled with the fact that this thread focuses on
a re-write, which leads one to believe there will be changes to the existing
methods.

If vdr has commonly expected behavior for this kind of device/software, and
the user can modify that to be uncommon or to suit his needs via settings &
options, then no problem.  My only concern is that things would be forced
that shouldn't be.

I'm going to go watch my coffee-maker now.
