And you can thank Digital for that, it has hit most who specialize in photography hard, I know my custom lab is having a hard time of it because people just don't need proofs for the most part any longer, then with the photographer being able to do most of the work him/herself places like Cost-Co are able to do the printing for less, I know several photographers who closed their doors because of the digital revolution, I don't know about any other part of the country but I know here in Ut. is has become quite the norm to just have uncle Bob or cousin Eddy do the wedding photographs. It used to frustrate me so much just as the digital cameras where getting good and cheep people would have either a close friend or family member follow me around during the wedding/reception photos land duplicate my photos, very hard to be rude to those people and no offend the family! I know I am a dinosaur but I still try to be loyal to my custom lab whom I have used for over 15 years. Now just for the record I am not bashing or complaining about places like Cost-Co, just pointing out the impact that digital and places like Cost-Co have made on the industry, the only part of the deal that really burns me is that I am 50 and need to start looking for other employment, why couldn't it have held off for another 20 years ;-)

.

Most local labs in my area have closed down. Again - I'm so glad the Costco lab is there.
