Again thanks for the instructions. In the first case, after unloading the sound modules, and inserting slusb, when I plug in the modem, I get a dump in the system messages. In the second case, after unloading the sound modules, I plug in the modem. There is no dump. However, when I try to insert slusb, modprobe hangs, and locks up the terminal window, but no dump. Am I missing something? Thanks... Tom.
