Interesting.

I had used the search box on the web page looking for sl-modem,
sl-modem-daemon, ubuntu sl-modem, and many other combinations. All
returned pages with various links to other web sites (cars, modem
sales, ebay) but no reference to the sl-modem packages. I even changed
my DNS to Google's (8.8.8.8,8.8.4.4) in case of a redirection but it
was no good. I tried using Firefox instead of Chrome... Nada!

Am I cursed by the computer gods or what?

I will use your link to the packages page to download and install the programs.

Its really strange that my results are so different than yours.

Any suggestions? Tom.
