That is correct. I was using OpenSuSE 11.1, kernel 2.6.27-21-PAE
I have been using Zsolt's driver code on my system since the older
agrsm-2008 packages no longer worked after kernels 2.6.24. (Is it really
just under a year ago that we first got it working?!)
 One of the biggest issues for this driver is that it must be patched
depending on BOTH the ALSA and kernel versions. This makes it quite
difficult to support every system out there- slight differences between
the two will cause kernel crashes.
That said, we do have various success cases on different kernels- I keep
an eye on the list to watch driver development.
