sorry; i did not realize you were proposing to spin up a wg.

I'm not proposing that. I'm saying rather that we are already in the state where we have a large pile of mailing lists (1 per WG), and in addition we tend to spin them up for new significant work..

ISTM that we're differing on the degree to which this is significant and long-lasting....
