If good resources like this already exist, great; if not, someone needs to be recruited to write them. And similar resources are needed for several other layers or widely-used technologies: "the web", email, transport protocols, DNS, etc.

the EDU team and EMODIR have been producing such material and organized sessions, sometimes in collaboration with the IESG. For example, "Technology Deep Dive - Modern Router Architecture" at IETF-104: https://datatracker.ietf.org/meeting/104/materials/slides-104-wgtlgo-forwarding-plane-realities-00.pdf. Similar sessions on other part of the architecture have been done or are being prepared.

Participants who are interested in preparing and holding such sessions - or help with the IETF's education, mentoring and outreach activities - should get in contact with emo-dir@xxxxxxxx.

Thanks,
Lars
