What/where is 10.2.1.1? There hasn't been any info from you > about your network configuration. Not much to say. My earliest post noted that I was trying to network my desktop (RH8) to my notebook (RH9) via a 5 port autoswitch or a 5 port hub and that once established I hoped to add two Win98 boxes (kiddies for their educational programs ... someway I may get to Win4Lin, etc.). I also need my notebook to interface with the M$ network at work. I have installed SAMBA and did have it working at one point but had a printing problem (loaded the driver for the Lexmark laser printer but still got garbage character output). I have dhcp toggled so I have relinquished control of the settings. -- Thanks! dmc :-D ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ | Jesus === Freedom | ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ -- Shrike-list mailing list Shrike-list@xxxxxxxxxx https://www.redhat.com/mailman/listinfo/shrike-list
