I just recalled the first digital camera I saw which was in the early 90s.  It was a 1 MP concoction from Kodak/Nikon which was an SLR tethered to a separate module.  Totally clumsy, limited in function and absolutely fascinating.

It is fascinating to me that some people are still shooting film. Even cardboard disposables are going the way of the dinosaur now.

The technology was pretty crude back then, but even so, the noise situation was better than with film, and the flexibility on a shoot was phenomenal.  We take it all for granted now - all the stuff we don't have to decide, carry around, calculate.

It's amazing.
