Meet me in the square in Santa Fe at high noon,
Herschel. Just to enlighten the few folks who were not around in
those heady days. One of the participants, Bob Rosen I believe,
was adamant about seeing the source and path for images. As Ken
Frazier mentioned FIDO is "film in (original) digital out (scan)
and so on. You can follow from that I think. I don't remember
much being said then about the amount of digital editing but I
imagine that would have been crucial as well. This seems to have
evolved into a simplified form differentiating photos with minimal
editing (how that is determined I don't know) and those with much
manipulation now called "photo illustration". Interesting
transitions for the photo world lately after many, many years of
relative stasis. I too miss the long and sometimes heated discussions from that time. But we seem to be in a softer, gentler phase now. Unless Herschel and I come to blows, of course. :>) Don On 7/7/11 9:21 AM, Herschel Mair wrote: You here lookin' for a fight Don? |
