I was going to do the same thing when I visit my son's farm in Kentucky next weekend. But, he may have sold them all on eBay by now! You could buy a horse and harness and rent it out for pulling tree stumps out of the ground! In Minnesota where I grew up, they were usually part of a double-tree for two horses and used to pull wagons, manure spreaders, etc. Yes, I'm that old! My dictionary says that whippletree is an archaic form of singletree.
