that IS interesting.  Interesting that a printer thinks they can use RGB
(!)

They of course mean that the RIP they use converts the RGB image to a
monochrome ymck better than it can convert an RGB monochrome to ymck
monochrome.

inkjets are different again as few if any photographers go anywhere near
ymck printers these days, most of us have ymcpmpck or ymcpmpcrgk or even
ymcpmpcpbrgk printers ;)

thank gawd the printer rip takes care of the conversions so well, a shame
that printers and graphic designers too are becoming as confused as most
photographers about the whole colour mess :(
