Another approach not mentioned yet is tou buy a litre of absolute alcohol. Fill a large jar with half the alcohol (100-degree proof Vodka will do) and sink the camera in it for 30 minutes. Remove the camera and stand it to drain (alcohol is great for dehydrating things). Empty the jar into a pint glass and refil the jar with the remaining alcohol. Immerse the camera again and add some fresh orange juice to the pint glass. Drink away till you no longer care ... ... don't know if the camera will work again but it won't seem so bad. B
