Robikhun,

All you are doing seems technically OK.
Try upgrading your ALSA support to version 1.0.14
Then reboot to retest the modem

The ALC883 Analog chipsets are doing and snd-hda-intel support is
being progressively  upgraded.
If 1.0.14 doesn't work , try the newest 1.0.15rcN
