Using USA as the country may not be adequate.  Contact local Linuxuser groups through http://www.linux.org/groups/venezuela.html anddetermine which COUNTRY_CODE is effective for their dialups.Then identify he same hexadecimal code in the list output by$ slmodemd --countrylistUse that COUNTRY_NAME in the slmodemd setup command.
