Marv, Andres,

A couple of lines below you meant, Marv, 2.4.2n
I do all my work under 2.4.21 !
I have an ltmodem on my previous laptop used by my daughter, not available.
Summary:
-8.26 fails above 8.20 CORRECTION: driver 8.26 fails under kernels above 2.4.20
-830.zip does not compile under my 2.4.21 probably because my compiler is 3.2.3
-8.31 does not compile either.

Andreas does not say which driver file he tried to use.
I believe however that indeed, as you said, Marv, linux830.zip may work for him because his compiler is 2.95

Andreas,

At http://ltmodem.heby.de/ go into the archive.
Get the linux830.zip and try working with that.

None of us except perhaps Jacques has a 2.6.2n system installed any longer. So it would not be feasible to work on your particular problem environment.
