Hi Marvin and other friends

filed the instance as a bug ( as suggested) there were a few similar usb
issue bugs but not totally the same.

Its now Bug #81012:
Ubuntu 6.06 does not properly recognize serial to usb modem

This is the first time I have filed a bug report (with prompting from
Marvin)

regards
ram
