Which PCI voice / fax modem to get.

I've just tried to install two different PCI winmodems and had no luck  
under the 2.6.18 kernel both with the pctel drivers and also with the HCF  
drivers. So I just want to start again with good hard ware. Can I have  
some recomendations for highly linux compatable PCI voice / fax modems  
that are value for money and readily available at the moment? I want to  
use it as an answer phone and fax. Thanks in advance.
