Way long ago chairs wrote Nomcom reports in addition to a presentation at plenary.  Mine may have been the last:

Personally I think they’re quite useful as I found those written by predecessors helpful to me as a chair and it provides more context for what’s presented at plenary.

I didn't get one from my predecessor, nor did I give one to Martin.  Unless you mean the 5-10 minutes at the Plenary, which is mostly exhortation to the community.

The previous NomCom chair is, of course, an advisor/liaison to the next NomCom -- is that what you mean?
