One of the things we've been working on is to ensure that the Temurin
RPM is compatible with the older OpenJDK RPM. There may still be some
rough edges, but we are addressing them as we find them.

I'm sure the Temurin folks would benefit from some of this real world
experience.

Of course, the safest way would be to migrate to the latest version
when possible so you don't risk that things go out of existence, but
at least this is a viable path, we are well aware of that which is why
we are investing time into making things compatible.
