Merely typing sudo to prefix every command does literally nothing but increase carpal tunnel syndrome. Every stupid mistake I've ever made, I've made with sudo in duplicate compared to just being root and not typing sudo for every damn command. What I do like about sudo is every command is logged to the journal, and with sealing enabled it's tamper proof.
