Re: Pops when starting/switching audio files

I don't mind. I'll start on it - we don't mind being on the bleeding edge for testing and for future growth. I also want to get all those new improvements and ARI features!!

Just verified it was the SOX issue. The wav header (or some kind of metadata) was still in the ulaw file which caused the little "pop" before the file played.

Any other simple "tweaks" come to mind for performance improvement? Excuse my noobness, but the only thing I am doing is dialing, some simple AMD (using the new TALK_DETECT, woohoo) and playback of audio files. I currently put the audio files in ramdisk as they aren't very many. We were also thinking of maybe trying PJSIP as the dialing portion seems to be simple.

Thanks!

I'll try it now. As long as 13 has the patch from ASTERISK-24043 then we should be good to go.

I'll setup an environment tonight and reach out soon. Thanks!

Drat. I don't think that made it into beta1. It will be in beta2.

If you don't mind applying the patch, then go for it - otherwise, I think beta2 will be out in the next week or two.
