The problem seems to be with only some of the audio files we are converting with SOX. I'm sure that's where the issue is. Sorry for the alarm!

Just to give an update - we've currently had a single Asterisk box (quad core 3.0ghz - 8 gigs of ram - SSD) handle over 150 concurrent ARI calls with playback - originating about 10 new call requests per second.

Same behavior with dial plan. Happy to setup the inbound number for people to test.

Going to try with some stock audio files to see if that changes anything. I have a strange suspicion that it could be with the converting from wav to ulaw or maybe some metadata that's causing the issue.

Will report back with the same DID to test.

Did you have the same behaviour when using the dialplan?

To double check: are you using a version of 12 or Asterisk 13.0.0-beta1?
