In brief, my startx script goes through the motions of starting X, but dies without any apparent error. The /var/log/XFree86.log file indicates that ABM doesn't start and that a couple fonts can't be found. I'm sure the fonts are superflous, but I'm not sure about ABM. However, typing xdm starts X fine for me. I have been through my config file (XF86Config) about 1000 times and can't pin it down. I'm running Debian 3 and windowmaker for what its worth. If anyone has any thoughts, I'd be keen to hear them :-) Pete _______________________________________________ Newbie@XFree86.Org *** To unsubscribe , or change message options, see: http://XFree86.Org/mailman/listinfo/newbie
