MSA Grant for Student Research in Mineralogy and Petrology

This is the second invitation for undergraduate and graduate research students to submit a proposal for the MSA Grant for Student Research in Mineralogy and Petrology. The proposal deadline is June 1, 2013.
Two $5,000 grants will be awarded in January of 2014.
Proposals will be evaluated on how well the written proposal demonstrates the scientific excellence, creativity, and feasibility of the proposed research project.
The grant is for graduate or undergraduate researchers to obtain funding for research-related expenses only.
The student researcher must write the proposal, although consultation with one's research supervisor is encouraged. The MSA proposal should include no more than four pages of text, figures, and references. An additional budget justification page may be submitted.
