My situation occurs even with an account that is almost empty, so
that's not a factor.

I've used SM as my primary mail client for years, and it is generally
quite fast. The slowness and "page not found" errors are quite recent.

Thanks for the information. I'm going to do more investigation and
testing tomorrow.
