Grand support for Ciba LO. He/she is now completely informed how to
proceed.

Ciba LO,

to restore your boot block:

boot the rescue system from cd 1 and chroot your currently installed
system (/dev/hda10 as of your posting). The steps are described on
screen of the rescue system. Make shure that your /boot partition is
mounted, too! If not, try "mount /dev/hda9 /boot".

grub-install /dev/hda9

should install the boot block.

If it doesn't help, you may:

a) check/repair the file system on /dev/hda9 and retry grub-install

b) install grub on /dev/hda (the mbr, it desables your current boot
manager!) When the Linux system works, you may have to reinstall it.

Peter
