I agree, and I was looking at ATI for just
that reason - but your "performance isn't
great" comment was the telling point.

I'd really love to be using video cards
with GPL'd 3D drivers, but until we see
something in the same ballpark with the
nvidia gear and drivers, it's a tough sell.

Nvidia does not seem to want to support the open source
community.
Ouch!

I'd say nvidia have been bending over
backwards to support us, and they get
nothing but grief for it...
