Ed, Whatever additional bandwidth was added last night has made no appreciable improvement in download speeds from Red Hat in my area. We have multiple T1 access at work, and as recently as 19:30 CST on Tuesday my disc1 ISO download (using curl) had inched up to 15 kbps from about 2 kbps at noon. All attempts to download it with Mozilla's Download Manager have failed miserably since the ISOs were released yesterday morning. Indeed, traffic loading on the RHN site has been so heavy today that it has been very difficult to connect to and log on. In contrast, while Red Hat's site was crawling I was able to download four 600M+ Windows 2003 Server RTM ISO images from the MS beta web site in less than six hours. I'm not bitching, Ed. I'm just stating facts. I'm not the only one who continues to experience serious problems with this service on Day Two. Since you posted your message Ed Greshko and Eric Burke have each reported slow downloads just like I've described. --Doc Savage Fairview Heights, IL
