thanks for the link, I have no issue with the four thirds system at all, it is however marketing material.

" emphasize telecentricity " "this is the secret of how Micro Four Thirds is able to produce sharp, high-resolution images using a compact image sensor" I suspect this is their get around given they state it - paraphrasing them 'the light hitting the sensor is closer to parallel and succeeds in illuminating more evenly than with larger sensors *because the sensor is so small* '. Like I said before, they have a pretty steeply angled light cone and that's ncie, but it simply ain't telecentric. it's just another conventional lens system.

if objects of the same size but different distances from the lens produce an image where the objects appear to be the same size, the lens is telecentric - if they aren't, it is a normal everyday lens irrespective of how narrow the light cone is.
