I've learned a lot from the tidbits of information contained in this thread. I still don't understand the difference between framing and cropping, but that's alright, I don't need to as I'm not an artist. And, it seems that the protagonists may not either! The referenced article on measuring focal length was fascinating as I can understand the math. I never would have run across it either without this thread. Also, Andy's aversion to strings and windows hadn't struck me as psychotic behavior until I read the part below. But, the most fascinating thing has been the engagement that the list has provided.
