Part of a lack of response may well be because many--myself included--believe that it's a good practice to never argue a critique but to carefully consider what's said, heed what's useful, and let the rest pass. Because there is no such thing as an aesthetic absolute by which art (photographic or otherwise) can be measured, a critique is but an expression of personal opinion. Furthermore, on most subjects or issues, the public is almost invariably evenly divided, 50 percent are for, and 50 percent are against.
