What do you use for in-the field digital storage?

...you know, when your storage card(s) get full.

I have been using a Nikon coolwalker MSV-01 for the last 2 to 3 years. It has 30GB storage and a tiny screen for reviewing the images. It was just about the only thing going when it was released. It cost way too much, it's mega-slow for transfer, uses a lousy proprietary battery, shows a tiny image etc But it is compact and it does the job. I know that there  are many better solutions out there. What do you think is the best one?

Seeing this story got me thinking that a dedicated solution may not be the best. Imagine how handy this baby would be in the field:

Could do photoshop touch-ups right on-site and email or ftp 'em off anywhere. Small enough for the camera bag.

...must....stop....drooling....
