Howard Leigh
Escalator, Tate Modern, London:  I like this - it is kind of a metaphor for the speed-of-life and how quickly it passes us by.  It would have been neat if the figure in the foreground could have been frozen in time, with a flash perhaps, but I know that sometimes you have to get what's in front of you while it's there.  (That's the sign of a good photographer.) Good job, Howard.

Marty Kerins Jr.
The Backyard:  What a back yard this is!  I'm going to show this to my husband and get him started landscaping our yard (somehow it just wouldn't be the same, though,  I'm sure {:->)  I like the curve of the tree on the left and how it frames the yard.  For me, the people on the lower let hand corner are a little distracting.  I'm not sure if it would work best if they were not there (cropping them out would crop too much of the scene out), or if they should have been included in their entirety.  I'd love to see this shot when taken in sweet light so the colors would be a little more saturated, but a very impressive shot, regardless.

Serena Fenton
late night visitor:  A super shot, Serena.  He looks as if he's posing for you.  I like the sepia toning and hand coloring - very creative.  Nice composition and framing.

Elson T. Elizaga
Little Dragon:  Congratulations on your beautiful son, Elson.  His little face is filled with wisdom beyond his age.  I really like the warm tones in this photograph and the image beside him.  His little curled fist tells me he's ready and willing to take on this world.

Jeff Spirer
Street Sleeper:  A gritty, image, full of impact.  Just when I start to feel sorry for myself because I don't have a back yard like the one portrayed in Marty's photograph, I'm reminded of how fortunate I really am.

A fascinating show at our gallery this week.  Thank you to all who shared their work and to Andy and staff for hanging the show.
