Bob: : Broadband was supposed to speed up the internet. Given a free hand : bloat has more than compensated for that and made most corporate sites : turgidly slow. just like most software :-( heck, faster cpu's and gpu's mean you can be a lot less careful with pogramming. faster and bigger hard drives means you don't have to care about storing rubbish. faster internet speeds means you can view utter rubbish with no care - thinking here of the online radio stations that ran continuously and competitively in the government office where I worked in the past - amazing! I feel for those on dialup who are forced to avoid massive sites and thus miss out on some really good stuff because of bloat.. k
