glad to hear it helped :-)

In your suggestion you state:

> Unknown (0093)3,9: 18,Y,X,0,0,0,65535,65535,0

for a specific string of data or a specific field ?

'exifer' allows the exif data to be exported to spreadsheets. Since it's
not a large amount of data exported, exporting for each folder would not
take up a lot of hard drive space, then the spreadsheet could be searched
for particular snippets of information. Exifer and other exif viewers can
be found here:
http://www.earthboundlight.com/phototips/exif-reader-software.html
unfortunately, exifer appears to be a windows only program - you may find
another listed that supports the same or better functions for the mac on
that same page.

>The problem I've found with EXIF viewers is that they are prepared to
display certain "standard" information - those that are generic for digital
cameras and images. The information that is specific to one particular
model
of camera is not displayed by most EXIF viewers and remains hidden from the
user.

below is an export of the data displayed by 'exifer':

>Do you know of any software that would allow me to search for the
information and view the data the way you describe ?

this was for the D100 Nikon and I'm not certain what data that camera
preserves - other cameras may have more data available.. you might find
this is enough information for your purpose?

>Thank you again Karl for helping me with my questions and guiding me in
the

always a pleasure :-)
