I was a bit shocked when I read that mail. Someone offered me a 5-digit
sum for my photo site.
This has always been quite a nice hobby for me and I always had it in
the back of my mind that I might do something to convert the high
traffic there to Euros.
Now, the sum is quite high, but apart from my emotional attachment to
the site, I'm not sure whether it is not worth much more than that:
Google page rank 6, 4000 unique vists/day, comes up first and second for
"travel photo" on Google and is highly placed for many similar
combinations of search terms.

Does anybody here have an idea what the commercial value of such a photo
site might be? The person suggesting the deal would want to buy it with
my content, that means I would license (non-exclusively) my (low-res)
photos to the new owners.
The potential buyer would also be interested in more photos from me -
what would be the going rate for such a web publication in your opinion?
I would be happy if I got some advice from someone already has some
experience in this field!
