The PhotoForum members' gallery/exhibit space was updated DEC 18 04. Authors
with work now on display at http://www.rit.edu/~andpph/gallery.html include:
Trevor Cunningham - dahab mosqueI anticipate that much of my future contributions will be of this process, as well as gum bichromate if I am successful. As for the picture itself, I need to be a little more conservative with the emulsion area, work on centering the neg a little better, also more evenly coating the paper. Any thoughts?
Don Roberts - As They PassedDead commies, you are a true patriot. Nice feel to the shot, but the background distracts from the image.
Emily L. Ferguson - Prayer flagsThey're lovely Emily. I hope they serve their purpose well.
Tim Holmes - Castle GeyserWierd. It almost seems as though the background was under the shadow of a thunderstorm. But my guess is that the sun refracted through the geyser required a very high shutterspeed and the background didn't register. I'm wondering how a polarizer filter would have made it different. It certainly would have gotten rid of the white tendrils of water on the ground which really make the shot for me. Sort of an octopus. Maybe more impressive with a wide angle rather than a telephoto. Don't really have a guage as to your position other than elevated.
Christopher Strevens - JohnJohn looks frightened and confused.
Bob Talbot - LaunchThe people in the water ruin it for me (easily stamped out in PS). The way the boat folk are standing gives them a contemplative look. One of, "maybe we really shouldn't go in. The body will wash up on its own."
In Gallery-X you will find a series by Marilyn Dalrymple entitled "Tree,
