Subject: RE: PhotoForum membership
My
Grandpa got me into it at ten.... I was not allowed chemicals so I used
a printing out frame and sunshine. Eventually I was taught how to
develop a film. Much later. Both sides of my family were into it
as a hobby but by the time I was a teenager they had stopped being
active.
Now
there all dead, only Mum and my Auntie are still alive.
Love
to see you but America is far far away. And a mountain of
cash.
Best
wishes with your meeting.
There are a few forum members in the UK. I live in South
London.... Yahoo!

In Memory of Maia, a sad,
sad story.
I love this group of friends who have the exact same interest that I
do. I got my first camera as a gift when I was 13. Up till now I really
didn't have anyone else to talk to about photography. I did submit a picture
or two, but found them to be not quite up to the quality presented here. I
will submit again sometime in the future, but only after I can take some new
pictures. Even if we don't get new members for some time, the ones we have
now are pretty great!

I have been a member of this forum for many years.
I always read every post and examine all the photos that are
contributed. I have pursued photography in all formats for over 30
years and have thousands of photos and prints that I feel very good about,
but I have never submitted one to the forum, nor do I intend to.
Nevertheless I find the forum useful, helpful, and always
interesting. I would miss the forum greatly if it were to go out of
existence.

I, too, read most every

this forum. I used to post more than I do now...mostly I
keep quiet

answer,
the Forum is the first place I turn.
I read everything,
too, and keep intending to send photos to the forum, but there are not
enough hours in the day. One day I'll retire and have enough time
to submit some photos. In the meantime, I'm enjoying everyone
else's. When I'm in the country I always check the forum
photos every week, but I'm gone more than I'm here. Statistics
about how many members participate aren't always accurate. We're
here when we can be and we appreciate Andy and the staff all the
time!
Thanks!
