>>>I suspect that there are many photography sites out there full of excellent work that get very few visitors, simply because there's no mechanism for people to find the site other than word of mouth, basically. Search engines can't find good photos! They find words, though, like nobody's business - just go to google.com and type in "bulldog sauce typography" to see my picture of a sauce bottle, that has probably received more views than many a superior shot, just because it's surrounded by words.<<<< One thing that helps is specialization. If you photograph dogs in all shapes and sizes, both cute and pedigree, then your site may get more hits. Photo buyers will generally not go to "gallery" sites. They need a photograph and tend not to take the time to browse your general portfolio in hopes of finding the image they are looking for, unless you are very well known in the market. If someone is looking of an image of bulldog sauce, they will find your image. They will not find it if your site is titled "my pictures." or "my gallery, portfolio, etc.." They may find it if you specialize in sauces and the search engine hits on images of sauces or sauce images or even cooking photography. Take care, Gregory david Stempel FIREFRAMEi m a g i n g
